The long silence grows excruciating. He sighs deeply and clicks
on a lamp. Then clicks it off. Another long pause, followed
by another sigh. He clicks the lamp off and on some more, glaring
at the clock before him. The TICKING grows louder. It is echoing throughout his head.

away at the little lamp string, clicking it in perfect rhythm against the TICKING. Turning it off and on. Faster. Again and again. The lights in the room
begin to blink rapidly as if lit by STROBE. He is getting DIZZY
